Overnighter to the high point of connecticut

Met up with a jolly nutmeg crew to pedal under end-of-winter sharp blues and slumbering trees. The circuit threaded us across Mass/Conn/New York border line and ultimately to Mount Frissell, the highest point in CT at 2454ft / 748m.

A modest hill, obviously, and in the event hardly a remarkable slab that we sat on to muse at the valleys ’round. But a landmark, a place to focus a quiet fun story, a metaphor for the broader way that we fashion meaning from points in gravity that are all the same but for the relation to everything else in the universe.
